A popular tapas restaurant in Tooting has been recognised for its delicious cheesecake.

ToKova Restaurant featured in Eater London's list of where to eat the best Basque cheesecake in London.

The tapas restaurant, known for its contemporary Basque cuisine, is located at Unit 95 in Broadway Market.

Within the article, Eater London describes the traditional cheesecake - and when you read it, you won't be able to stop your mouth from salivating.

It says: "Tokova serves its cheesecake with Marcona almonds, which provide pleasingly contrasting crunch, and a tart red berry coulis which cuts through the intense richness of the cream cheese as well as intercepting the cheesecake's monochrome tones of black burnt crust and white cream centre with a flash of red."

The cheesecake is on the menu for £7.

There's a lot going on at ToKova this month, as previously reported , so it's worth taking a look to see what offers are on before October comes around.

The restaurant's owner, Cristina Ruiz, said: "We're delighted to be featured in such an illustrious list of restaurants.

"We've always strived to bring authentic Basque cuisine to Tooting and there's nothing quite as tasty as an authentic Basque cheesecake!"

ToKova Restaurant uses the traditions of 'New Basque Cooking'. The dishes are made for sharing and served as "small plates" - tapas-style.

The menu is seasonal and focuses on seasonal wild produce. This includes sustainable livestock and from local British farmers, as well as Cornish fish.

The restaurant's chefs aim to create a variety of exquisite dishes, with attentive service in a relaxing atmosphere for all occasions.
