STRONG WINDS of over 60 miles per hour have been forecast for Tooting tomorrow (February, 18) as the Met Office warns that Storm Eunice could cause "significant disruption" across much of the UK.

Gusts ranging from 62 to 69 mph are expected to hit the town between 08:00 and 13:00 and there will be high winds of over 60mph for much of the day.

It comes as the Met Office issues an Amber Weather Warning for most regions in England including London and the South East, from 3am to 9pm tomorrow, due to the arrival of Storm Eunice.

The Amber warning means that damage to buildings and homes, falling branches, public transport delays and power cuts are all likely as a result of the strong winds.

There is also a good chance that flying debris could result in a danger to life.

A 'warning impact matrix' by the Met Office shows that the winds will be high impact and are quite likely.
