A nurse from Tooting received a makeover on ITV breakfast show Lorraine this morning.

Toyin, more commonly known as Lady T by her colleagues, was joined by TV presenter Mark Heyes and two NHS colleagues as there was a special programme for Thank You Day on Sunday (July 4).

Lady T and the other NHS colleagues were rewarded for their hard work with a makeover from Mark on the show.

The show was live from St George's Hospital, filmed from the new garden area outside the Atkinson Morley wing which was opened by Lorraine Kelly earlier this year. The garden was funded by St George's Trust, St George's Hospital Charity and NHS Charities Together.

Lady T currently manages the vaccine clinic despite working usually in occupational health and even had to miss her son's wedding due to her work.

Speaking to ITV , she said: "We have been very busy. We have done over 70,000 vaccines so far and we are still going strong.

"One of my sons got married and it was during the lockdown. I love him dearly and his new wife as well - so it's all good."

There's no doubt that her makeover went down as a success and that it was a great morning for all of those involved.

Mark Heyes said on-air : It's been the most lovely morning here in the well-being garden with three of the most gorgeous ladies and wonderful women you'd ever be lucky enough to meet."

Lorraine was a big fan too, saying that "Lady T is rocking it!".

The vaccine clinic manager said she felt amazing after the makeover, and might even have a new outfit to wear for when she hosts a party for her newly wedded son and daughter-in-law.

You can watch the full programme on the ITV website.
