Tooting Police obtain three old fashioned rifles

Police from the Graveney Ward have obtained three old fashioned rifles from someone's garage.

A local resident was reportedly clearing out their late father's garage when they stumbled across the weapons.

A spokesperson said on Twitter: "Blimey! What you can find in a garage."

The resident came into Mitcham Police Station to report the weapons and ask for them to be collected.

The spokesperson continued: "We were asked to go around and take them, which we were very happy to do."
