Tooting: Police concerned for man's safety after escaping mental health facility

Police have released a picture of a man who has escaped his mental health facility in Tooting.

Do you recognise this man? Wandsworth Police have urged people to let them know if so as they are concerned for his welfare as he requires medication.

Taiwo Osinnowo is the man pictured and left the facility on August 1.

Osinnowo is described as six foot and one inch tall, of heavy build and has short greying hair with a scar on his left hand.

He was last seen wearing black jeans, black suede shoes, a grey jumper and a black and blue top.

It is believed that he may be travelling on busses around Elephant and Castle, Peckham, New Cross, Deptford, Erith and across south east London.

If you have any information on where Osinnowo may be, police have asked for you to contact 101 referencing CAD 5278/1 Aug if seen.

A Wandsworth Police tweet said: "Taiwo OSINNOWO is missing having absconded from a mental health facility in Tooting, Wandsworth on 1 Aug.

"He is believed to be travelling on buses & been in Elephant and Castle, Peckham, New Cross, Deptford, Erith & south east London.

"Described as 6ft 1in tall, heavy build, with short greying hair and a scar on his left hand. He was last seen wearing black jeans, black suede shoes, a grey jumper and a black and blue top.

"Police concerned for his welfare as he requires meds.

"Mobile phone 101 ref CAD 5278/1 Aug if seen."
