According to some forty-million-year-old bones that were discovered in Antarctica, penguins used to be over six feet tall and weighed more than 250 pounds.

Extinct for 37 million years now, the Colossus Penguin was more than twice the weight and height of the Emperor Penguin − the largest penguin alive today.
