Tooting & Mitcham United FC supports Football v Homophobia campaign

By The Editor 18th Feb 2021

Tooting & Mitcham United FC are supporting the international Football v Homophobia campaign.

The FvH initiative was created in 2010 and aims to take a clear stand against homophobia and transphobia at all levels of football.

The Terrors are one of the initiative's 2021 Champions and have shown their support by recommitting their pledge to promote an environment free from all forms of discrimination.

The club has also updated its club crest on social media to sport the LGBTQ+ pride colours.

Tooting and Mitcham's updated equality statement reads:

"Tooting & Mitcham United FC support Football v Homophobia and aim to make football more welcoming to LGBTQ+ people.

"We have a zero-tolerance policy on all forms of discrimination and any incidents should be reported immediately to the nearest steward or club official.

"We also ask that all supporters and visiting fans to be reminded that this is a family environment and all language should be moderated accordingly."
