Coronavirus cases have risen in the past week for Tooting and its surrounding areas, recent figures reveal.
Wandsworth Borough has had 222 cases in the last seven days recorded (August 1 - August 7) , meaning the total number is up by 23.2 per cent.
Overall that leaves the borough with 1180 cases, which means for every 100,000 people there are 357.9 cases of Covid-19.
Tooting West is the area that has seen the sharpest increase of cases , with 19 positive tests taking its overall total to 36 (111.8 per cent increase). 434.1 people for every 100,000 have the virus in that area.
The figures for positive cases in Wandsworth are worse than the national average and for London.
For the period between August 1 and August 7, London had 25.232 new cases, which works out to 280.3 people having caught the virus out of 100,000.
There were a total of 169,215 people who had positive tests during the same period, correlating to England having a rate of 299.2 people out of 100,000 having confirmed cases of Covid-19.
