For the past two years, Tooting Community Kitchen has been serving fresh food and refreshments to the most vulnerable twice a week.

At the beginning of the month Tooting Community Kitchen unveiled their new food bank on 102 Upper Tooting Rd.

The food bank operates much like the weekly stalls, ran completely on a volunteer not-for-profit basis.

The bank is open every Friday from 11am - 12:30pm for people in need of food items.

It has now been announced that the bank will be open for those who need it over the Christmas period.

This Christmas they'll be open on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of December.

Tooting Community Kitchen's stalls

You can find TCK outside Iceland every Wednesday and Saturday.

The number of guests attending the stalls have been growing week on week.

Last Saturday (19th Dec) the kitchen served over 200 meals as well as Christmas crackers and gifts.

Guests to the kitchen are able to get hot meals and fresh produce to feed them over the week.

All of the team work on volunteer-basis.

The kitchen accepts donations from a range of eateries, groups and individuals around the community.
