Tooting Bec Lido welcomes back happy swimmers

Tooting Bec Lido has today welcomed back happy swimmers who are 'ecstatic' to get back in their favourite spot.

The sun has been shining all day making for an even brighter occasion.

South London Swimming Club described the opening as 'calm, tranquil, friendly and organised' with 'lots of smiling faces'.

The water's temperature is sitting at 10C today, a cold venture for visitors.

South London Swimming Club added: "For anyone new to us this is COLD and know that just having a dip is just fine! No need to go for miles at first especially as we are all out of training and unacclimatised.

"There is plenty of time for that."

We're very happy to see the Lido back in action!
