A Tooting-based blogger has been reviewing curry houses for the last eight years and says he has eaten in over one hundred.

London Curry Blog, formerly known as Tooting Curry Blog, is the creation of friends Michael and Tom.

It started as a mission to eat in and review every curry house Tooting had to offer - but eight years later the blog has expanded into the rest of the capital and is still going strong.

Michael is currently running the blog solo - although Tom sometimes joins in to complete the original team.

London Curry Blog has recently been revisiting his past reviews in Tooting which he wrote back in 2012.

"It is interesting to see what has changed and what has stayed the same," Michael told Nub News.

"It is nice to look back at the old reviews and compare where I was in life to now."

Michael's aim of the reviews is to not come across too serious - he does not shy away from not being a 'food expert'.

"It's all about respecting the food and just having a bit of fun," Michael added.

"I have eaten in over one hundred curry houses across London now."

Spice Village, reviewed in 2012, is currently the highest rated in Tooting placed second on the London Curry Blog leaderboard.

The next highest rated in Tooting is again Spice Village but rated in 2019.

The re-review reads: 'Despite the many changes to Spice Village over the years, one thing remains consistent: the quality of the food.'
