A local mother is sharing her story in the hope that she can find the man who sprinted to bring her 19-month-old baby to safety.
Sarah Rughoonundon feared for her little boy's life after he had an allergic reaction to some peanut butter.
Thankfully, an unknown man responded to Sarah's screams as she got out of the car in traffic to sprint into the hospital, where Jonah was shot with adrenaline and is now doing absolutely fine.
The incident occurred at around 2pm on Friday, June 19.
To make things a bit more difficult, Sarah has no idea what the man looks like apart from the fact he was wearing a suit. Which is hardly surprising given the severity of the situation and the shock she was feeling.
The 39-year-old shared her story on Facebook the day after the incident, however, she has had "no luck at all", so she is hoping that the right person might just come across her story so that she can finally say thanks to this man.
Sarah explained that it was quite the shock as he had been tested for nut allergies previously and had even had small amounts of peanut butter in the past.
Talking to Nub News , she said: "It was completely unexpected.
"He had some of my peanut butter on bagel - only two or three very small mouthfuls.
"And then quickly he had a rash underneath his lips and started to claw at his mouth. He was clearly uncomfortable.
"Very quickly his lips started to swell so we thought we would take him to hospital.
"The whole of the car journey he was clearly distressed; his whole face was swelling and I was really concerned about his airways.
"As we got to St George's traffic lights I got out and ran. He was quiet which really freaked me out. I thought I was going to lose him, it was so severe, so I screamed.
"This is when the man helped. I had no idea where he was heading. He was wearing a suit and I don't remember what looked like other than thinking he looked fast.
"I was struggling to carry my son and the bag so he took him off me and ran straight to the hospital.
"We got straight through and they put the adrenaline him. It was so important."
With Jonah now being fit and healthy, Sarah has turned her attention to finding the man - and she told us what she would do if she did finally get to say thanks.
"I would just want to give him the biggest hug, even if we can't," she said.
"I was so hysterical I have no idea what was going through his head. I thought I was going to collapse as I was in such a blind panic.
"You're just never going to forget that man.
"I'd like to let him know he is okay, I barely looked at him."
If you have any information on who the man was, or think you are the man who came to Jonah's rescue, his mum has asked if you could contact her via Facebook messenger.
