A Tooting man has started a delivery cocktail business and residents are loving it.

Greig Howitt, creator of GH Drinks, was unfortunately made furloughed at the start of lockdown from his job at Hawksmore Restaurant.

"I was forced to bring my creativity home with me," Greig told Nub News.

"I really began to miss not being able to share new ideas, flavours and drinks with people.

"So I decided to start bottling some of them and give them around to friends and colleagues."

Fast forward to the present day and Greig says he is making upwards of 100 bottles a week - delivering them to customers purely by bicycle.

Greig has also incorporated a 'drink it forward' scheme.

"I wanted to give a cocktail to someone who can't justify treating themselves to something indulgent at the moment," Greig told us.

"Whether it's someone that's furloughed in hospitality, an out of work hairdresser or a nurse or a mum and dad homeschooling their young ones."

A new drink creation goes live on Greig's Instagram every Monday at 12pm.

His 'Salted Caramel Old Fashioned' and 'Hop Buzz' haven proved popular in the past.

Greig added: "The reaction has been really great, people are really excited to get something handcrafted and full of flavour that they couldn't make at home, there has been a lot of repeat custom."
