Two children are on a mission to raise £4500 for NHS staff to show gratitude for their hard work through the pandemic.

In December last year, 13-year-old Jasmine and 10-year-old James showed their appreciation with a letter to staff.

Upon hearing the news of the 1% increase in pay, the children have set up a Just Giving page and urging everyone to make a donation.

Tim, the father of Jasmine and James, said: "We would love everyone to come together to show our overall gratitude for what they do for us.

"It's a small contribution which we hope goes a long way in telling them we do care and very much appreciate what they are doing."

At the time of writing this, the fundraiser has raised over £2000.

The fundraiser comes ahead of World Transformation Day on the 4th of April.
