It has been announced that Tesco will be hiring 11,000 temporary staff members to help over the Christmas period.

Tesco's Extra Stores and Superstores will be hiring employees to help with stocking, deliveries, and general activities.

A spokesperson for Tesco said:

"With customers at the heart of everything we do, the festive season is especially important to us ensuring all our customers have the best Christmas shopping experience.

"Festive roles are a great way to be part of the Tesco team. Local, convenient with a variety of flexible contracts available, becoming a Tesco festive colleague gives you the opportunity to balance your job and your lifestyle."
