Police teams holding joint patrols to target pickpockets in Balham and Tooting

Police teams around the area have announced they will be joining up to hold patrols where increased pickpockets have been reported.

There have been increased reports of thieves targeting unattended buggies, bags and approaching females in Balham and Tooting Commons.

Tooting sector officers have been patrolling with Nightingale police around Balham today.

A spokesperson for Nightingale Police Team wrote on Twitter:

"Nightingale Team are joining up with @MPSEarlsfield and @MPSWandswthComm in doing patrols around Balham and the surrounding areas today targeting these pick pocketings.

"If you see something please 101/999 so we can get too said location in order to find these individuals."
