To mark the anniversary of the UK's first Covid-19 lockdown, residents are being asked to say 'thank you' to St George's staff for their work throughout the pandemic.
In February, a range of celebrities – including Lorraine Kelly, Susanna Reid and Paul Hollywood – showed their appreciation by recording video message for all of the staff.
This time patients and members of the local community are invited to send their messages of thanks and support.
Emergency Department Nurse Georgina Day, who came up with the idea for the celebrity video, said:
"We received fantastic feedback from St George's staff, but also NHS workers across the nation who felt boosted and spurred on by the message.
"Many members of the public commented on the video and used it as an opportunity to share their own messages of support, which is why we would love to hear from anyone who would like to say thank you but hasn't had the opportunity to do so yet."
The messages will be shared on 23 March – the same date people across the UK were told to stay at home for the first time last year.
If you would like to share a thank you message with St George's staff, send it to via [email protected].
You can say thank you in any way you would like to – it could be a selfie-style video, a drawing, or simply a photo of a handwritten card or message.
