Met Office warns of possible snow & ice in Tooting this week

The Met Office have activated a Yellow Weather Warning for London residents on Wednesday and Thursday (30 and 31 of December) .

The weather warning states a 'small chance of disruption from snow and ice' is possible from 10am tomorrow.

At the time of writing the Met Office forecast states that temperatures will fall as low as 0 degrees on Thursday (31st).

The forecast says that snow will fall at 11pm on Wednesday and continue into the early hours.

What did the Met Office say in its Yellow Weather Warning?

• There is a slight chance that bus and train services may be delayed or cancelled, with some road closures and longer journey times.

• There is a small chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel.

• A slight chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage.

• A small chance of injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
