IN PICTURES: After the snow fell in Tooting

25th Jan 2021 | Local News

Yesterday (24 Jan) saw heavy snowfall across Tooting and surrounding areas.

The snow began at around 10am and seemed to settle on the ground straight away.

Residents braved the cold to make the most of the rare weather.

Unfortunately, the snowfall soon turned into classic British rain which washed the settled white stuff into slush.

Tooting Common was extremely busy once the snow had stopped.

Families queued for hot chocolate or coffee at the cafe in the park, children tried to rummage up a snowball and joggers continued to run.

Scroll through the above photos to see what snow was left behind.
