British civil rights activist awarded blue plaque
Darcus Howe's blue plaque was unveiled earlier this week as he was recognised for his work for British civil rights.
The plaque honouring Howe was created by the Nubian Jak Foundation, which works with English Heritage. It is sponsored by Black History Walks.
Tooting local woman who lived on a bench for seven years has passed away
Hawa Abdi Sharige passed away on New Years Eve after contracting pneumonia.
Boards have been placed on Tooting library for people to leave notes of condolences.
Wandsworth Oasis are hiring
Wandsworth Oasis are hiring full time shop managers and part time supervisors.
This charity shop has stores across Wandsworth borough including Tooting, Battersea, Balham Earlsfield, Putney, Clapham and Furzedown.
