A local refugee charity has made an appeal today for smartphones or laptops.

Wandsworth Welcomes Refugees is asking the public if they have any old gadgets lying around that could be given a new lease of life.

Any unwanted equipment could be donated to a local refugee or asylum seeker.

Donating these gadgets could give someone access to essential services and support.

Including education and keeping in touch with friends and family.

The charity is always on the look out for devices but are aware that after Christmas a lot of people are fortunate enough to have been gifted a new phone or laptop.

If you have your old one lying around the house donate it to some of the most vulnerable people in the community,

If you can make a donation email [email protected] or check out their website here.
