Coronavirus in Tooting: How many people have it right now?

By The Editor

13th Jan 2021 | Local News

An NHS map has been launched which shows the number of coronavirus cases in your area.

Tooting residents can see coronavirus cases as well as the number of people who have had their symptoms assessed over the phone by NHS 111.

This is an improvement to the alternative government map which only allowed residents to see coronavirus cases in their area without added information.

The improved map now includes:

  • Cases of people who have tested positive in the selected week.
  • Telephone triages are new clinical assessments by the NHS 111 of people with potential coronavirus symptoms.
  • Fewer people were tested previously, and this may affect comparison with more recent cases.
  • "More than" and "fewer than" 3 cases is used to prevent individuals from being identified.

Data is shown in a seven-day period ending 7th January.

Just type in your postcode to see the latest figures.

50 cases in Upper Tooting

99 cases in Tooting East

There were fewer than 3 "triages" in all Tooting areas.
