Children who are due to start primary school this September (2022) need to get their applications in before Saturday January, 15.

This date for applications applies for children born between September 1, 2017 and August 31, 2018.

If you are hoping to send your child to a state primary school in Wandsworth the application must be handed in by this weekend.

92% of Wandsworth's primary schools classed as either good or outstanding by Ofsted.

Parents can apply for a place at up to six state-run primary schools, listing each one in order of preference, these schools can be across various boroughs but wherever the schools are, applications must be submitted via their own local council.

You can apply for a school place online once you've submitted your preferences to the council.

A form can also be downloaded, printed and filled in but all paper applications must reach the town hall in time for the deadline (January, 15).

Applications to church and faith schools vary and it is recommended that parents study the admission criteria carefully.

The council is also reminding parents that even if your child is enrolled in the nursery school they must still apply for the reception class.

Outcome of the applications will be released on April, 19.

Further details about applying for a Wandsworth primary school can be found here.
