'We aren't taking anything for granted yet': Tooting restaurant cautiously excited to reopen to public

By The Editor 25th Feb 2021

A Tooting restaurant is looking forward to welcoming back customers but has said they won't take the news for granted yet.

Bordelaise, a French restaurant situated in Broadway Market, has had to continually change its business strategy to fit in with lockdown restrictions.

With a new road map out of lockdown set by the government, Bordelaise and other hospitality establishments have something to look forward to.

Aleix Morales, co-owner of Bordelaise, told Nub News:

"We hope the government won't change their mind and delay.

"We also worry that many will go away for holiday, so we are excited and happy by the news.

"But we aren't taking anything for granted yet."

Bordelaise has stayed serving the community through lockdown by delivery and takeaway.

The French restaurant recently offered free school lunches throughout half-term.
