"It's like it's stuck in time!": The curious case of Tooting Bec's Premier Cru Wine Shop

The Premier Cru Wine Shop in Tooting Bec closed over six years ago but remains fully stocked and maintained.

Residents have been trying to look into the mystery surrounding this seemingly 'stuck in time' shop and have found nothing.

A determined resident has reached out on social media in the hope of getting some answers.

Siva Iyer, Tooting Bec, said: "I've never been able to solve the mystery of Premier Cru Wine Shop.

"Numerous internet searches and emails to local councilors have always ended up at a dead-end.

"The shop has been closed since at least 2015 yet continues to be fully stocked.

"Part of me is sad to think of all that wine going off but another part of me wonders what a great piece of local real estate could be offering our community rather than a closed (now semi bordered up) shop front."

The status of the closed shop became even more confusing to residents after a new metal shutter was installed in the past year and a half.

One resident said: "It's like it's stuck in time!"

We have contacted the council for any information they may have.
