A Tooting pub is urging residents working from home to come and spend the day working in their establishment.

King's Head, situated on Upper Tooting Road, is offering a £2.99 deal for free wi-fi, coffee and cake.

King's Head wrote on Instagram saying: "Why not work from your local pub instead of working from home?

"Book your table now to work in Covid secure environment away from home."

This is one of the many pubs across the UK that have started to offer 'pub desks' in response to the increase in working from home employees.

The 10pm curfew has meant that pubs are finding new ways to increase their revenue stream, with the 'pub desk' system being one of them.

Nick Mackenzie, Greene King's boss, previously said: "Alongside losing a vital trading period the table-service-only rule will hit drinking pubs that rely on outside standing areas for customers, which is one of the great attractions of a central London pub."
