Tooting beer shop and bar delighted it can remain trading throughout lockdown

A Tooting bar and beer shop is delighted that it can remain trading throughout lockdown and continue to serve the community.

Craft Tooting, situated in Broadway Market, previously had to close for the last lockdown and operate completely as a mobile delivery service.

Owners Mark and Ela were forced to operate the business out of their home, which while feasible, was far from ideal.

Mark said: "I will always feel nervous, and worried as a business owner in times like these. Luckily as an essential business we are able to trade for take away which helps soften the blow."

Craft Tooting will be open until 9pm Tuesday - Saturday and until 6pm on Sundays.

The shop will still operate as a delivery service and you can still order beverages online without having to visit the store.

Mark added: "Like everyone, we are just hoping for some normality - and to be back serving pints well into the night like the good old days.

"As always we are so appreciative of Tooting's support, I love how Tooting has such a strong will to support local and stick together, and we can't thank everyone enough for their continued custom."

Since its launch four years ago, Tooting's first craft beer bar and shop has created a community out of an admittedly tiny premise.

"We are the world's smallest local," co-owner Mark previously told Nub News.
