Baking Gucci Bags and Shaun The Sheep: Tooting's Bless Bakes creates cakes to remember

Bless Bakes, situated at the end of Tooting Market, has been serving freshly made personalised cakes to residents for over a year.

Cooking in an open kitchen; Blessy mixes her love for art and design with premium baking to make some truly special creations.

From a Gucci Bag to Shaun The Sheep, Blessy creates 'edible art' commissioned by residents who want something memorable for their event.

"I love doing what I do. Seeing how happy it makes people makes it all worth it," Blessy told Nub News.

Blessy first started baking on her son's birthday eight years ago - since then it's been a passion that she's never got tired of.

Blessy continued: "I always try to put something new out every week to keep it interesting.

"I've learnt so many new flavour combinations and skills since I opened in the market."

Blessy has a muffin, cupcake and cookie stand as well as taking on personalised commissions, which often sell out fast from market-goers.

A best seller at the moment is the 'vegan chocolate cupcake' - which were all sold out when Nub News visited today.

The salted caramel cupcakes are a crowd favourite too.

"It's often that I have to tell people to come back a little later so I can bake a fresh new batch," Blessy added.

Other available flavours include oreo, pistachio, coconut, chai latte, lotus biscoff, maltesers, strawberry cream and rose milk - just to name a few.

The only thing that goes into the bakes are fresh ingredients and Blessy is against ever using pre-made cake mix.

Blessy said: "I only want to serve the best and I think people respect that."
