New CCTV footage has caught brazen fly-tippers dump sofas and rubbish in South London's streets.

Wandsworth Council released a video of the fly-tippers on Tooting's Eardley Road and Battersea's Ashley Crescent.

In the last two months, 77 fines were issued to fly-tippers in Tooting alone, with 3,602 fines for littering and fly-tipping offences issued between April 2020 and March 2021.

The video shows a man struggling to drag and dump a battered leather sofa in a parking space in Battersea.

In Tooting, a woman is seen dumping two black bin bags by a tree and later on a man in a hi vis jacket jumps a black bin bag at the tree.

The Wandsworth Council Youtube video is part of a 'Caught on Camera' series to shame and hopefully name fly-tipping culprits so they can be prosecuted.

Cllr Steffi Sutters, environment spokesperson, said: "Thanks to everyone who has got in touch following the last episode of Caught on Camera.

"We've fined two people for fly-tipping in Thrale Road in the last month, so please do keep letting us know if you recognise anyone from one of our videos.

"If you haven't yet watched the previous episode, please watch, share and help by reporting fly-tip offenders.

"In Tooting alone, we have issued 77 over the last two months and over the last year, from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021 we issued a total of 3,602 fines for littering and fly-tipping offences."

She previously said: "No one likes a fly-tipper, which is why we're taking action against those who think they can get away with dumping rubbish illegally."

Previously, a toilet was dumped in the borough on Freshford Street in Summerstown.
