Fishponds playing fields are open for business - and here's what it has to offer in its first week.

It was recently announced that the playing fields at Fishponds in Tooting will be open to the public from 10am unti 6pm.

Usually, the fields are closed unless there has been a booking to use the area, however, Wandsworth Council and Enable have opened it for the summer holidays.

A programme of activities will be happening throughout the week, with almost all of them being free.

Here is what's happening this week:

Monday

- Free Play Sessions (free use of range of equipment) : this will be available from 10am-6pm and is free.

- Bootcamp : This is from noon until 1pm for anyone above the age of 16. It will cost £3, where you pay for it on the day.

Tuesday

- Free Play Sessions (free use of range of equipment) : this will be available from 10am-6pm and is free.

- Park Rangers (stay and play multi-sport sessions) : This will be from 10am-11.30am for under 11s and is free.

Wednesday

- Free Play Sessions (free use of range of equipment) : This will be available from 10am-6pm and is free.

- Couch 2 5k Course : This will be running from 12.30pm-1.30pm and will be free for all adults.

- Led Walk : This will be from 1.45pm-2.45pm and will entail and 30-45 minute walk. Again, this is for adults and free.

- Family Zumba : This will run from 3pm-4pm and is for all of the family. Free.

Thursday

- Free Play Sessions (free use of range of equipment) : This will be available from 10am-6pm and is free.

- Park Rangers (stay and play multi-sport sessions) : This will be from 10am-11.30am for under 11s and is free.

Friday

- Free Play Sessions (free use of range of equipment) : This will be available from 10am-6pm and is free.

- Bootcamp : This is from noon until 1pm for anyone below the age of 18. It will be for under 18s and is completely free. People of all abilities are encouraged to participate.
