A man has passed away following after falling 'unwell' on Welham Road yesterday morning.

At around 7am yesterday (September 20), medics were sent to the area - near Graveney School - but were sadly unable to prevent the man's death.

A number of resources were sent to the incident, with the first medics arriving in less than four and half minutes, as per the London Ambulance Service.

An ambulance crew, two paramedics, an incident response officer and an advanced paramedic practitioner were all on the scene.

The cause of death has not been confirmed.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 7.01am today (20 September) to reports of a person unwell in Welham Road, Tooting.

"We sent a number of resources including an ambulance crew, two paramedics in fast response cars, an incident response officer and an advanced paramedic practitioner, with the first of our medics arriving in less than four and a half minutes.

"Sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a man was pronounced dead at the scene."
