"Equality is the goal" Labour's Hannah Stanislaus wins Bedford Ward by-election

Labour has held on to their seat in the Bedford ward with victory in Thursday's local council by-election.
Four candidates stood for election. The full results are as follows:
Hannah Stanislaus (Labour) – 2,714
Tom Mytton (Conservative) – 1,778David Carlyon (Green) - 815
Reeten Banerji (Lib Dem) - 310 Speaking to Nub News, winner Hannah Stanislaus said: "As a Councillor, equality is the goal in Bedford Ward, so everyone feels a part of the community they live in. "I will work hard with Councillors Hector Denfield and Clare Fraser to achieve this." Turnout for the vote was just over half at 51.4 per cent. The by-election was held following the resignation of former councillor Fleur Anderson. The result means that the overall standings of the parties represented on Wandsworth Council are as follows: Conservatives 33, Labour 26 and Independent one.
